This painting is of Samsoche Sampson, a young Seneca/Creek native. He is shown here in his fancy dancer regalia. He is well known throughout Indian Country as a hoop, and fancy dancer and has also performed in several other countries. I found his regalia to be both intricate, and challenging to paint which made the project even more satisfying upon its completion.
