This painting was originally created for my cousin who passed away several years ago. While he was alive he would ask me to paint him a wolf. I never did. He died and I felt so sad that I hadn’t painted him a wolf so I created this piece in his honor. A lone wolf looking back on his earthly life and walking into his new spiritual life. The title came to me immediately and after I painted it I felt such a sense of peace knowing he made his journey home.
