This painting is of a young girl from the Crow Nation. A photo was taken of her just before she entered the powwow circle at the Crow Fair held annually in Montana. I was drawn to her photo because of her intense expression. She appeared to me as though she could have been alive at any point and time in history. That’s why I called this piece "Transcending Time".
