There is nothing quite like painting plein air, but doing it in an aspen grove is a whole different level of magic.
That "symphony song" you heard actually has a beautiful name: psithurism (the sound of wind rustling through leaves). Aspen leaves have a unique, flattened petiole (stem) that acts like a tiny hinge, allowing them to tremble and quake at the slightest breeze. When you're surrounded by thousands of them, it genuinely sounds like soft, running water or a standing ovation from nature.
