This small but mighty original oil painting is inspired by the ever-changing atmosphere of the canyon. Using a restrained palette of blues, violets, and soft grays, I sought to capture not only the landscape before me but the emotion it stirred within. Veils of color, layered textures, and cascading drips speak to the canyon's immense scale and geological history, while luminous passages of pink and gold suggest fleeting moments of light that transform the desert sky.
